It’s one thing to provide exceptional service when events are going exactly as planned. It’s another thing entirely to keep calm and take care of your clients’ needs in the face of an unexpected emergency or crisis. As leaders in global travel and event planning for nearly 30 years, we’ve been faced with many situations that called for immediate action:

  • Hijacking of the Italian cruise ship Achille Lauro in 1985: 100 of our travelers were held for 48 hours.
  • Hunt Oil Marib facilities bombed in 1994: Employees were evacuated overnight.
  • September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks
  • April 2010 volcanic ash: Flights were affected, requiring rescheduling.
  • Guatemala mission trips: Trips were interrupted due to violence erupting on June 24, 2011.

In times of emergency, we always put our clients’ safety first, and use our network of resources and global travel partners to achieve the best possible outcomes. Within hours of each of the above-mentioned disasters, we reacted quickly to identify travelers, schedule alternate flights or means of transportation, notify corporations with affected travelers, and enact resolutions to get travelers out of affected areas as soon as possible.

Wyndham Jade has contacts worldwide, not only with travel partners, but also with local destination management companies in every major city. We use these connections to provide the best travel experience possible for our clients, in any situation. Wyndham Jade also stays abreast of travel developments by using the SABRE Travel Security program, which provides daily alerts concerning government warnings, security threats, strikes, and significant dates and events. In addition, a member of our senior management team has served on the board for the Commonwealth Business Travel Group (CBTG), an invitation-only partner network of independent Travel Management Companies, for fifteen years, four of which were served as Chairman.

Wyndham Jade has extensive experience accommodating domestic and international travel groups, ranging in size from 20 to 3,000.
